The Business Development Manager from Office Depot posted a good question on Linked In today:
In today's competitive business climate, time is at a premium for both colleagues and clients alike, and differentiation is key. How do you separate yourself from the pack of competitors that are targeting your prospects and existing clients? What makes you their best option? What value propositions are you offering to establish and maintain your client base?
What do you do internally within your own organization to ensure that you are best-positioned to receive top-billing and effort from your Account Team and other key resources?
The sad fact is that most businesses are copy-cats of each other without much differentiation. Business never gets around to creating "value maps" to differentiate themselves from the competition.
