A good article on the link between Vitamin D and immune response. And think the best way to avoid the flu and most other health problems is to have an activated immune system. Another useful immune modulator that has been proven by recent clinical trials is a patented Maitake Extract.
Known to activate the TH1 immune response and stimulate NK cells, Killer T cells, macrophages and have a protective effect on bone marrow cells, such as granulocytes.
I hope to see more articles from you on immune health.

More and more studies are showing the importance of vitamin d. I've read it's actually being reclassified as a hormone. vitamin D benefits the life and health of a person in far more ways than is commonly known. It helps in strengthening the bones and joints in the human body by aiding the absorption of calcium. It also helps the body build up immunity. Our bodies can produce vitamin D naturally, if we have sufficient exposure to sunlight (at least an hour a week). Alternatively, you can find it added to certain foods such as milk, egg yolks, fatty fish, sardines, mackerel, tuna and salmon. They are known to be a good source of omega 3 fatty acids. Cod liver oil capsules are one of the most common nutrient and Vitamin D dense supplements. Adequate vitamin D levels are absolutely essential for a healthy life.

I have been taking vitamins since I can remember. My parents started me young and for whatever reason always stuck with them. I never ever get sick, maybe twice since I can remember have I had any type of crazy illness. I always wonder if its the vitamins.

I talk about things like that on my Purity Products twitter account.
