Interesting. I certainly agree that it's been colder than usual in England this winter!

I read this explanation earlier this week: http://www.thebmc.co.uk/Feature.aspx?id=4064.

This suggests a predictable cycle of colder winters, not triggered by factors such as the gulf oil spill etc.
